My Birthday Month!

This thursday at Under St. Marks at 10pm is Bare.  I haven't talked about Bare too much on here.  I've definitely talked about it a lot on Definitely Not Dita Bare is always a show I'm really proud of because it pushes the limits of both burlesque and storytelling, but *especially* burlesque.  I feel like every single act I've done in this show has knocked it out of the park and it is so rare and precious to be able to say that.  This month the burlesquers are telling stories and the storytellers are doing burlesque.  I am doing both, because Peter likes me, and I asked real nice.  And because, even though Peter is doing burlesque to go with my story, I'm getting naked in *his* act.

On october 18th at 10pm at Nurse Bettie's I'll be performing one of my many Halloween acts at Spanking the Lower East Side!

Epic Win is producing a Big Damn Halloween party starting at 8pm on October 31st at R Bar.  The show will consist of BB Heart doing her freaky as hell Korean horror act, Cliff Hanger doing an American Psycho act, Apathy Angel's Silence of the Lambs act, Aurora Black (a SUPER talented ballet/burlesque dancer) doing a Zombie Giselle act, Nelson's psychic surgery act, me doing a grinder act as a cenobite and Schaffer the Darklord hosting while dressed in all his black metal finery.  It should be a great mix of funny and creepy.

It's also my 30th Birthday so we're going to have a crazy ass after party filled with candy flavored liquor, contortionist go-go dancers, black light body painters, costume contests and creepy/sexy poledancing.  I'm basically trying to marry Original Cyn craziness with Epic Win production value.  A Hellraiser grinder act would have gone down like gangbusters at OC but someone would have lost their eyebrows.  And my costume probably wouldn't have fit on the stage.  And R-Bar has, like, 5 poles.  So wear some sexy underwear and come ready to dance.
